Established in 1987, dennis kowal architects is an architecture and interior design firm with a difference.  Working in seven states and one foreign country from their base in New Jersey, they have proven that bigger isn’t better.  Founder, Dennis J. Kowal AIA, created a small studio of professionals who tackles large projects and turns away work to stay this way.  Their diverse practice includes the new 3,000 seat Covenant Life Church in Gaithersburg Maryland and the restoration of the Handley Regional Library in Winchester Virginia.   The Library of Congress has hailed their design for the New York Public Library as

Their clients range from the Lincoln Center of the Performing Arts in Manhattan to a professional gymnastics studio in Kentucky.    They also provide the interior design and furniture design for their projects and offer full “cradle to cradle”* services….  all with a total of ten people.
