 Rebecca with Sid Fuchs Sidney E. Fuchs President & CEO, and Director OAO Technology Solutions, Inc. Sidney E. Fuchs previously served as a corporate officer of Northrop Grumman Corporation and as the President of TASC, Inc. (Intelligence and Defense) and the Civilian Agencies Group (Health IT, Homeland Security, Federal Agencies) for Northrop Grumman Information Technology. Under his leadership, these organizations, each with annual sales exceeding $1.2B, significantly increased their win rates and posted record double digit growth in sales and profitability. Prior to Northrop Grumman, he was the Director of Strategic Services at Rational Software and led teams that were responsible for the design and implementation of large-scale commercial and government software systems throughout the world. Also, he was a National Sales Manager at Oracle and Digital Equipment Corporation, where his product sales and engineering teams consistently exceeded performance targets. Upon recommendation by the White House, he was appointed by Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld to the Board of Visitors, National Defense University (NDU) in 2002, and in 2003 was named an NDU Distinguished Fellow. In 2007, he was reappointed to the NDU Board of Visitors. In 2000, the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Acquisition selected him for the Future Combat System (FCS) Tri-Service Assessment Team that studied the initial planning and technologies for FCS. He has also participated in several planning and gaming exercises for the DOD and Intelligence Community. From 1987 to 1995, Mr. Fuchs was a Central Intelligence Agency officer, serving at domestic and foreign posts and on assignment with the US Air Force and the National Reconnaissance Office. His agency career includes positions as an operations officer, intelligence analyst for foreign weapon and ballistic missile systems, and as a system engineer, program manager and branch chief for overhead and ground collection, communication, and processing systems. He has received commendations from the US Defense and Intelligence Community, as well as other government organizations in the US and abroad. Mr. Fuchs currently serves on the boards of Roam Secure, Inc., Xcalibur, Inc., the Tower Club, the LSU Department of Mechanical Engineering and is a member of the CEO Panel for the ITAA's Coalition for America's High Tech Future. He was a member of the NRO Strategic Planning Senior Advisory Panel and previously served on the boards of AFCEA International, Millennium Bank, Joint Military Intelligence College, and the Fairfax County Public Library Foundation. He is a member of The Potomac Officer's Club, The Northern Virginia Technology Council, and Pi Tau Sigma. In 2000, Mr. Fuchs established the first scholarship fund for the e-Commerce Program at the Northern Virginia Community College and was the Chairman of the American Heart Association's 2000 Young Executive's Campaign. He earned BS and MS degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the Louisiana State University and has completed executive education programs at Harvard, the Wharton School of Business, the Darden School of Business, and the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. A recognized thought leader, Mr. Fuchs is a published author and speaker on topics such as Government Markets, Information Technology, Professional Education, Leadership, Business Strategy and Operations, and Organizational Change.
