Max Brown is a founding Partner at 360jmg, a leading DC based strategic communications firm specializing in advertising, direct mail, public relations and new media. Brown has nearly 20 years of experience in campaign strategy and management, helping clients across the country achieve their goals, through the deployment of creative messaging and innovative technologies.

In 1998, Brown led the successful campaign for DC Mayoral candidate Anthony A. Williams. Brown went on to serve as Counsel and Deputy Chief of Staff, focusing on communications and strategy. He also coordinated the Mayor’s Internet Task Force, which was responsible for developing and implementing the successful e-government strategy for the District of Columbia and has worked extensively with the Office of the Chief Technology Officer as the District has integrated new technologies that have it at the leading edge of digital government.

An Ohio native, Brown got his start working in his home state of Ohio – coordinating field strategy for former Senator John Glenn’s successful Senate campaign and managing field operations for a successful 1992 congressional primary.

From 1993-1995, Brown served as a Clinton Administration appointee at the U.S. General Services Administration, where he served in the Office of the Federal Telecommunications Service, providing counsel on emerging strategic telecommunications and Internet policy issues.

In 1995, Brown founded and was CEO of digitalforum.net, a business to business Internet Service Provider and web design firm.

Brown is a member of the bar in both the District of Columbia and Ohio. He received his B.A. from The George Washington University (1987) and a J.D. from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law (1991). Brown currently serves on the Board of both the Washington Convention Center Authority, where he is Treasurer, and Horton’s Kids. He lives in Washington, DC with his wife Katharine and two boys, Alexander, 6 and Mason, 4.
