Mac Curtis is President & CEO of Vangent, a premiere provider of customized information technology and management solutions. Vangent designs, builds and operates our customers' systems to enhance their performance in delivering information, benefits and services to their customers and constituents. A worldwide organization headquartered in Arlington, Virginia with over 5,500 employees, Vangent works with a wide range of customers in the U.S. federal government, international governments, higher education and commercial entities. Under Mr. Curtis' leadership, the company has grown from a $90M customer interaction business into one of the fastest growing consulting, systems integration and business process outsourcing companies in the industry, with revenues in excess of $520M. Mr. Curtis provides leadership for strategic planning, business development and other facets of management to lead and grow the business, including acquisitions that complement Vangent's strategic initiatives. His management experience encompasses marketing, capture management, service integration, solutions development, information security, and systems engineering and logistics. In September 1999, Mr. Curtis joined Vangent (then known as NCS) as Vice President and General Manager of the Government Services Division. In July of 2000, NCS was acquired by Pearson, plc, and Mr. Curtis became President and CEO of Pearson Government Solutions. With Veritas' purchase of Pearson Government Solutions in December of 2006, Mr. Curtis continues in his role of President and CEO. Before joining Vangent , Mr. Curtis served for seven years at DynCorp in Fairfax, Virginia, as Senior Vice President of DynCorp I & ET providing professional service integration and solutions development, information security, systems engineering and logistics, and general management with P&L responsibilities. He also served as President for TechServ, LLC, directing capture management, marketing, and operation of contracts, as well as building relationships with the vendor/services communities for a new start up business in the integrated computer systems outsourcing marketplace in the federal and state government. Mr. Curtis holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Virginia Military Institute, and attended the Senior Executive Program at the Darden Graduate Business School University of Virginia. Active in his community and the technology industry, Mr. Curtis serves on the boards of George Mason University's School of Information Technology and Engineering, Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce, Professional Services Council and Conference Board Executive Council.
